Clianthus puniceus ‘Alba’ or White Kaka Beak is an evergreen NZ native shrub with a rather sprawling habit. Clusters of bright parrot beak shaped white flowers appear in spring. The flowers attract birds particularly Tui and Bellbirds. It needs full sun, prefers a free draining site and some shelter from strong winds. Protect from heavy frost and snails when young.
Can easily be grown as a climber against walls and fences.
