Description

Phormium cookianum ‘Purpurea’ is a red foliaged variety of the mountain flax, but it is slightly smaller in stature. It has attractive gracefully drooping long bronze leaves and in spring long spikes with flowers appear which is a fantastic food source for native birds. Phormium cookianum ‘Purpurea’ is an all purpose plant adding colour and texture to your garden. It thrives well in wet or dry soils and tolerates sunny, shady and exposed areas.
