Salvia confertiflora

Description

Salvia confertiflora or also know as Red Velvet Sage is an attractive herbaceous perennial with dark green leaves. Mid summer through to autumn elongated flower spikes appear that carry short-tubed red flowers. This salvia variety can grow to a big shrub but can kept smaller when trimmed back every year. Salvia confertiflora thrives best in full sun to part shade.
