Description
Dymondia margaretae ‘Silver Carpet’ is a low-growing, mat-forming ground cover prized for its silvery-green, narrow leaves with rolled edges and a felted underside. In summer, it produces small, yellow daisy-like flowers that add a cheerful touch to its dense foliage.
This drought-tolerant plant typically grows to a height of 2–5 cm and spreads up to 60 cm or more. It thrives in full sun to light shade and prefers well-drained soil. ‘Silver Carpet’ is ideal for between stepping stones, borders, or as a lawn alternative in low-traffic areas, thanks to its tough, compact growth and ability to suppress weeds.
