Description
Ophiopogon japonicus ‘Nana’, commonly known as dwarf mondo grass, is a compact, grass-like evergreen ground cover with fine, dark green, arching foliage. Its neat, tufted form makes it ideal for edging, between pavers, or as a low-maintenance lawn alternative.
This slow-growing variety typically reaches a height of 5–10 cm and spreads 15–20 cm. It thrives in partial to full shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil. In summer, it may produce small, pale lilac flowers, followed by glossy black berries. ‘Nana’ is tolerant of light foot traffic and is excellent for adding texture and contrast in shaded areas.
