Description

Phormium cookianum ‘Emerald Gem’ is a dwarf cultivar of the well known NZ native mountain flax. It has lime green foliage and in summer spikes of green-yellow flowers appear which are great for attracting native birds. The compact habit makes this cultivar very suitable for the small garden. Phormium cookianum ‘Emerald Gem’ does well in mass planting on a bank but will be as effective in a pot. A very easy plant which thrives well in exposed coastal conditions.
