Description
Polygala ‘Petite Butterfly’ or Sweet Pea Shrub is a compact ball forming bushy shrub with oval grey/green leaves. Pea-like purple flowers appear on the tips of the stems almost year round. Very hardy shrub and thrives best in any soil although best flowering occurs in well fertilized soil. Withstand windy conditions. Best to trim back annually to maintain a dense bushy shape. Avoid cold frosty sites. A good shrub in a mixed border which gives year round color to your garden. Can also be used as a flowering low hedge.
