Xeronema Callistemon or Poor Knight’s lily is an attractive native lily with flax-like glossy green leaves. In spring stunning long bright red bottle brush-like flowers appear which attract birds, bees and butterflies. Xeronema Callistemon likes free drained soil and thrives best in full sun or part shade. It doesn’t mind the wind but the leaves can get windburned if the plants is very exposed. An ideal plant to give structure to your border and ideal to grow in pots as it likes to be rootbound.
